The Historic Lynchburg family recipe was created around the turn of the century, almost five generations ago. The old folks wanted a distinctive flavour and realised that local Tennessee Whiskey was the answer. The family is proud of their delicious barbecue sauce and they are committed to providing the finest traditional old time quality barbecue sauces available.
The folks at Historic Lynchburg recommend that their sauce be basted on the last 5 to 10 minutes of cooking time to allow the flavour to penetrate the meat and then serve, well browned, right off the grill.

Can definitely tell its a brown sugar base, has that sort of sweetness about it, a little peppery, falls very very short of extra hot.
