The infamous ‘Da Bomb’… this one gets a 1/10 for flavor and 7/10 for heat. It tastes like pure pepper mixed with caustic soda. I was a little underwhelmed with the heat tbh, but having said that go easy on it or you will find out the hard way later on.. lol.

The name says it all. The heat is beyond insanity. I really think Da Bomb’s Scoville rating is wrong, at 136k SV. On the Hot One’s show, the current sauce right before this one is Bhutilla Fire, with a rating of 116k SV. But I can eat 8 wings with that sauce. With Da Bomb, ONE is the limit. There is a HUGE jump from Bhutilla Fire to Da Bomb, and show guests have frequently said that it’s worse than the next two sauces with their half million and one+ million SV. So, I really think Da Bomb is punching WAY above it’s SV rating.
As for flavour, there is actually a really fantastic flavour to this sauce but you will never taste it if you get a “full dose”. My first taste, I took just the very tip of a toothpick, and picked up a tiny drop – about the size of a pinhead, and tasted that. It’s really good. Has a sweet, rather citrus fruity flavour. If you use this VERY sparingly, it might add a nice taste to a stew or chili recipe.

This sauce is awful – both in flavour (it tastes like petrol) and in heat (you can’t think of anything but the pain you’re in!). However, if you’re a fan of Hot Ones, you already know this and are buying it purely just so you can understand the pain the celebrities are going through as you watch them! Its not a sauce you would buy to enjoy – its more of a party trick! Most entertaining!

It’s hot enough to ruin someone’s day. Taste was surprisingly good as well, didn’t taste like pure battery acid like some other super hot sauces.
